Cleaning everyday trainers does not need a cupboard full of brushes and tools. The Kicker Mitt™ system is designed around a simple routine: remove loose dirt, apply cleaner, gently work the surface, wipe away residue and let the footwear dry naturally.

What you need

Or get all three together in the Full Shoe Cleaning Kit.

How to clean your trainers

  1. Remove loose dirt. Knock off or gently remove loose mud and surface debris before you start.
  2. Apply the cleaner. Add a small amount of Shoe Goo to the Kicker Mitt™ and add a little water as needed.
  3. Clean gently. Work over the dirty area using controlled circular motions. Avoid aggressive scrubbing, especially on delicate materials.
  4. Wipe away residue. Use the microfibre towel to remove excess moisture and lifted dirt.
  5. Air dry naturally. Leave the footwear to dry fully before wearing it again.

Before cleaning delicate footwear

Materials, dyes and manufacturer care instructions vary. Always check the care label and spot-test the cleaner on a small hidden area first, particularly on suede, nubuck, premium leather or strongly coloured materials.

After cleaning

Rinse the Kicker Mitt™ after use and allow it to dry thoroughly before storing it. Keep the towel clean and dry between uses.
